Housekeeping Processes
TeraTeam UK can develop and implement various housekeeping processes to your Teradata system(s), examples of which are shown below.
DBC Housekeeping
Regular (usually daily) clear down and archive of various DBC tables such as DBQL (V2R5 or above) and RESUSAGE tables to minimise DBC table sizes and reduce table locking periods.
Teradata Access Rights Maintenance
An automated process to remove unnecessary and/or duplicated access rights (table and database level access or those already granted under Roles) to reduce DBC lock times and speed up the system.
Recording of Teradata Database Space Usage
In order to assist with your Teradata Capacity Management, we can develop and implement bespoke processes that can record, at preset intervals, how database space is being used throught your system.
Regular Process Scheduling
In addition to the above, and depending upon your system configuration and workload patterns, TeraTeam UK DBAs are experienced in ensuring correct scheduling of the following tasks as part of regular housekeeping processes.
