term: Teradata Restore

A function provided by a host utility program that re-creates a database
from archived dump tapes. Cf: dump

Due consideration should be given to ensuring there is adequate control around your data restore process, in particular ensuring data access is only granted to relevant individuals and space usage and data retention periods set and monitored. Of course, TeraTeam UK are experts at these processes.

Restoring data requires the data to have been archived (or backed up) prior to the restore, of course. It is essential to have a sound archive/back up policy in place for your systems data. TeraTeam UK can help.
